Uses:

Seeds are diuretic and useful in promoting the passage of sand and gravel (ie) seperation of urine.The fruit is sweet, referigerant and in strangury and hematesis.. beneficial.

பந்தலில் காய்க்கின்ற கக்கரிக்காயை ஆகாயக் கக்கரிக்காய் என்று சொல்லுவது வழக்கம். இதனால் தேகச்சூடு, கரப்பான், பித்ததோடம், மருந்தின் வீரியம், பித்தவாந்தி ஆகியவை நீங்கும். ஆனால் கபாதிக்கமும் புணர்ச்சியில் இச்சையும் உண்டாகும்.

வெயிலினால் உண்டாகும் தலைவலிக்கு இந்தக் காயை வெட்டித் தலையில் வைத்துக் கட்டினால் தலைவலி குறைந்து விடும்.
