Herb, seeds and leaves and “Almost every part of the plant”

Constituents:

A volatile substance, an alkaloid and salts

Action:

 Anthelmintic, Purgative, Emmenogogue, Stimulant, Alterative, Anti-periodic and Tonic.

Uses:

This is a stimulant for the secretions of semen The boiled solutions of the equal quantity of gingelly oil and extract of full plant, if taken in empty stomach in the morning gives relief from psoriasis. This is very effective in diabetes and snake bite.

தாது புஷ்டியும், சுக்கில விருத்தியும் உண்டாக்கும். இதன் முழுச் செடியையும் இடித்துச் சாறு பிழிந்து சம அளவு நல்லெண்ணெய் கூட்டி காய்ச்சி காலையில் வெறும் வயிற்றில் ஒரு தேக்கரண்டியளவு சாப்பிட கருமேகம், கரப்பான் ஒழியும். பாம்புக் கடியையும், நீரிழிவு நோய் போன்றவையும் கட்டுப்படும்.
