Action:

Astringent, Demulcent Diuretic, Mucilagenous and demulcent.

Uses:

Bark and fresh leaves are used for diarrhoea, also flowers rubbed with sugar and water are given ingonorrhoea to stop the burning caused by urine.

This can be used in Rhuematism. The extract of its seed will solidify Mercury.

இப்பூண்டினத்தில் இரு வகையுண்டு. ஒன்றில் சுனை இருக்கும்.

ஆடையில் ஒட்டும் தன்மை உடையதால் ஆடையொட்டிப் பூண்டு எனப்பட்டது. இது தென்னிந்தியாவுக்கே உரிய மூலிகை இனம் ஆகும். மாந்திரியத்தில் இதனை வசிய மூலிகையாகப் பயன்படுத்துவார்கள். இதன் காயிலிருந்து கிடைக்கும் சாற்றால் பாதரசத்தைக் கட்டலாம்.
