Calotropis procera

 (N. O. Asclepiadaceae)

Habit:

Shrub

Parts used:

Root, root bark, leaves and flowers.

Constituents:

Similar to Calotropis, gigantea.

Action:

Flowers have Detergent properties.

Uses:

This is more potent than calotropis gigantia. This could be used in all medicinal preparation, where Calotropis is required and this gives more benefits than the other. For snake bites the milk of this plant is very effective.

வெள்ளை எருக்கின் எல்லா குணங்களும் எருக்கன் செடியுடன்’ ஒத்திருக்கும். ஆனால் இதன் வீரியம் மிகுதி. எருக்கனை உபயோகிக்கும் எல்லா வைத்திய முறைகளிலும் இதனை உபயோகிக்கலாம். அதைவிட சிறந்த பலன் தரும். எருக்கன் பாலைவிட வெள்ளெருக்கன் பால் விஷக்கடிக்கு சிறந்ததாகும்.
