A volatile oil and Cannabinine, a powerful Sedative.

Action:

All parts of the plant are Narcotic, Stomachic Antispasmodic. Analgesic, Stimulant, Aphrodisiac and Sedative. In large dose it first produces mental exaltation, intoxication and finally loss of memory, Gloominess etc.

Uses:

This is also known as “Korakkar” medicine.Commonly leaves, shoot and roots are used in medicines. But mainly the leaves are used as medicine. The medicine prepared from this is used to relieve abdominal spasm, piles, dysentery, obesity, phlem, psoriasis and impotency. If taken regularly, it generates enormous appetite and sedation.

If it is misused as a smoke for pleasure, it is very much addict forming and it destroys the health and it may leads to madness. It may also lead to nervous break down and severe canstipation. If it is hot used with caution, it is dangerous. For migrane and head ache, the extract of ganja mixed with the extract of betel leaves used for 10 days, maygive relief. It is used in”poornadi lehgyam”which increases potency of male.

இது கோரக்கர் மூலி என்றும் கூறப்படுகிறது. பொதுவாக கஞ்சாவின் இலை. பூ. சமூலம். நார் ஆகியன மருந்தாகப் பயன்பட்டப் போதிலும் இதன் இலையே பெரிதும் மருந்தாகப் பயன்படுகிறது. வயிற்றுவலி போன்ற நோய்களுக்கும், மூலவாய்வு. நாள்பட்ட பேதி, பெருத்த சரீரம். மிகுகபம். கரப்பான். ஆண்மைக் குறைவு ஆகியன இதனை உட்கொள்வதால விலகும். இதனை அடிக்கடி உண்பதால் மிகுந்த பசியும். மயக்கமும் உண்டாகும்.

கஞ்சாவை காரணமின்றி போதைக்காக அடிக்கடி உட் கொள்வதால் உடல் நஞ்சாகி உன்மத்தம் பிடிக்கும்.

நரப்புச்சத்தி உண்டாகும். கோளாறு உண்டாவதுடன் மலச்சிக்கலும்உண்டாகும்.

இதனை தக்க காரணத்திற்காக அளவுடன் பயன்படுத்துவது அபாயமற்றதாகும். தலைவலிக்கு கஞ்சாவின் சத்தினை எடுத்து வெற்றிலை சாற்றுடன் 10 நாட்கள் உண்டுவர குணமாகும்.

பூரணாதி லேகியத்தில் இது பயன்படுகிறது. இந்த லேகியம் ஆண்மையைப் பெருக்கும்.
