Plant is Aromatic. Flowers are Diuretic and Anti-spasmodic.

Uses:

The leaves as a decoction cause violent purging and Vomiting The powdered dried plant is given internally with great success in rheumatic artheritis, jaundice, phlegm, strangury, menstural disorders etc.. The juice of the leaves is applied externally round the eyes in ophthalmia; medicated oil is prepared by mixing the juice with gingelly oil It is applied to the head in both cases of insanity and other cerebral disorders.

இதன் இலையை சூரணித்து நசியமிட மூக்கின் சளி போகும். இதன் கசாயம் வாந்தியையும், பேதியையும் உண்டாக்கும். வாயுவைக் கண்டித்து, நீரை வடித்து, ஈரல், மண்ணீரல், இரைகுடல் ஆகியவற்றிலுள்ள அழுக்கை அகற்றும். கீல்வாயு, காமாலை, கபம். கல்லடைப்பு, உதிரச்சிக்கல் இவைகளுக்கு இதன் சமூலத்தை சீரணித்து தினம் சாப்பிடலாம். இச்சாற்றைக் கண்ணைச் சுற்றிப் பற்றுபோட கண்வலி நீங்கும். இதை நல்லெண்ணையுடன் சேர்த்து தைலமாக்கி தேய்த்து குளித்தால் பைத்தியம் குணமாகும்.
