Action :

Seeds are Emetic, Rubefacient. Stimulant, Diuretic. Volatile oil is Stimulant, Rubefacient and Visicaent.

Uses:

The seeds are rarely used alone, but they are used with black mustards. Ths oil cake is used for fatening sheep. Flowers of this mustard made into a paste with water is applied as a stimulant poultic or plaster to the epigastrium in obstinate vomiting and cholera.

This is mainly used to cure the paediatric ailments. This is also used for scabies in children and in Arthritis. If this is given in small doses, it improves digestion and gives alertness, but this is hot for the humanbody. Persons consumed poison could be treated with this, if they take this with water they will vomit all the poison consumed. The oil extract is very useful in rheumatism and skin ailments.

வெண்கடுகு குழந்தைகளுக்கு உண்டாகும் தோசங்களை நீக்கும். பூச்சிக்கடியின் வீரியத்தைக் குறைக்கும். முடக்குவாத நோயை நீக்கும். இதை அளவாகக் கொடுக்க மந்தம் நீங்கி சீரண சக்தி உண்டாரும். ஆனால் சூட்டை உண்டாக்கும். விஷம் உட்கொண்டவர்களுக்கு இதனை நீரில் அரைத்துக் கொடுக்க குமட்டலின்றி வாத்தியை உண்டுபண்ணி நஞ்சை வெளியேற்றும்.

கடுகு எண்ணையை வாதநோய்களுக்கும், கிரந்தி புண்களுக்கும் மேலே பூசலாம்.
