Glands and hairs from the capsules or fruits.
Constituents:
Resins, Rottlerin, Iso-rottlerin and mallotoxin.
Action:
Cathartic, Anthelmintic, Styptic, Purgative. Aphrodisiac and Lithontriptic.
Uses:
Kamela powder is used as an anthelmintic.Kamela taken internally relieves leprous eruptions and also externally it has been used in skin diseases. Kamela powder is applied in syphilitic ulcers. It is very effective in the eatment of taenia or tape worm. The powder possess purgative properties which is used as an external application for parasite infection of the skin such as scabies, ringworm and herpes.
