Leaves, bark and root are Stomachic, Root is alightly Purgative.

Uses:

Infusion of the root bark or of the leaves is pactul in vomiting. Green tender leaves are eaten raw for the cure of dysentery. It is bolted in milk and ground for a good application in poisonous bites and to gruptions. Leaves are popularly used for flavouring curries and condiments.

கறிவேப்பிலையால் அரோசகம், சீதபேதியால் வரும் வயிற் றளைவு பழஞ்சுரம், பித்ததோஷம் ஆகியவை நீங்கும். பித்தத்தை குறைக்கும். இதன் இலைக் கஷாயத்தை அருந்தினால் வாந்தி நிற்கும்.பத்திய தோஷங்களை நீக்கும்.

சிறிது கறிவேப்பிலை இலையை, ஓரிரு மிளகுடன் சேர்த்து, சிறிது நெய் விட்டு வறுத்து, சிறிது வெந்நீர் விட்டரைத்து, அரைத்ததைக் கரைத்து பாலர்களுக்குக் குளிப்பாட்டிய பின் கொடுத்தால் மாந்தம் ஏற்படாது. பசியைத் தூண்டும். பொதுவாக சமையலில் கறிவேப்பிலையைச் சேர்த்துக் கொள்வதுண்டு. இது உடல் நலத்திற்கு ஏற்றது.

கறிவேப்பிலை ஈர்க்கும் பயன் அளிப்பதாகும். இதன் ஈர்க் உன் வேப்ப ஈர்க்கு, நெல்லி ஈர்க்கு இவைகளைச் சேர்த்து இடித்து நீரிலிட்டுக் காய்ச்சவும். இந்நீரைப் பருகினால் வாந்தியை உடனே நிறுத்தும்.
