Astringent, Carminative, Diuretic, Vermifuge and Anthelmintic.
Uses:
The plant reduced to a pulp and steeped in butter milk is useful in diarrhoea and dysentery. Decoction of the plant is given in flatulence and leucorrhoea.
If applied for ulcers and wounds it heals fast. Butter milk with this plant extract is a good combination to check dysentery. The decoction this plant eradicate the intestinal worms and induces loose motion.
இதில் நீர்க்கிராம்பு (Jussiewa repens) என்ற வகையுமுண்டு இரண்டின் குணங்களும் ஒன்றேயாகும். ‘சீதரத்தபேதி, வெள்ளைப் போக்கு பெண்களுக்கு மாதவிடாய் சமயம் வெள்ளை படுதல் போன்றவற்றிற்கு குணம் தரும். புண் காயம் இவற்றிற்கு பற்றிட சிறந்த குணம் ஏற்படும்.
இச்செடியை அரைத்து மோருடன் கலந்து கொடுக்க சீதபேதி நிற்கும். இதன் கஷாயம் வயிற்றிலுள்ள பூச்சிகளை அழித்து பேதியாகச்செய்யும்.
