Action:

Leaves and young shoots are Demulcent, Mucila-ginous, Astringent, Alterative-and Aromatics

Uses:

It is anantidote for poisonous bites, Cold water impregnated with the thick viscid mucillage of the leaves and young shoot is given in the treatment of gonorrhoea, gleet and catarrh of the bladder. This also cures yawning, fainting, fatigue and diarrhoea..

விஷக்கடிகளுக்கு குணம் தரும். இலைச் சாற்றுடன் பசும் பால் கலந்து கற்கண்டு சேர்த்து அருந்த வெள்ளை, வெட்டை நோய்கள் தீருவதுடன் சீழ் பிரமேகம் குணமாகும். மேலும் இது கொட்டாவி, மயக்கம், மந்தம், பேதி, கண்சொருகுதல் இவைகளை நீக்கும்.
