இது மூலம், இருமல் இவைகளைப் போக்கி, ஆண்மையை உண்டு பண்ணும். மேலும், மலபந்தம், ஈரல் நோய்கள், வாந்தி வயிற்றுப் புழு, கருவாய்ச் சூலை இவைகளையும் போக்கும். பசித் தீயையும் செரிப்பையும் பெருக்கும். இதை சதகுப்பையைப் போலவே பயன்படுத்தலாம்.
