Acrid, Astringent and Vulnerary.

Uses:

This checks dysentery and diarrhoes. The extract is of foul smell but purifies blood. This is used to treat eye diseases. The leaves are used in treating carbuncles, chronic ulcer and ear ache. Yellow dye is made out of its flower.

துலுக்க சாமந்தியை துலுக்க மல்லிகை என்றும் கூறுவர். இது இரத்த பேதி, சீதபேதி ஆகியவற்றிற்கு குணம் தரும். பூ மஞ்சள் நிறமுடையது. இதன் சமூலம் கெட்ட நாற்றம் வீசும். ஆயினும் இரத்தத்தை சுத்தி செய்யும் குணம் வாய்ந்தது. கண்ணோய்க்கும். உபயோகப்படும். இதன் இலை பிளவு, ஆறாத ரணம், காதுவலி ஆகிய வற்றை குணப்படுத்தும். இதன் பூவிலிருந்து மஞ்சள் சாயம் தயாரிக்கலாம்.
