Anthenine acid.

Action:

Stimulant, Tonic and Stomachic.

Uses:

This is a rare plant. Oil is extracted from this. If taken internally it gives vigour, energy and relieves fits. The decoction of the flower improves digestion. It is carmi-native and promotes emetic action. This cures neurasthenia and ammenorrhoea. The oil is used to treat flatulance and dyspepsia. It also cures stomach ache due to dentition.

சீமை சாமந்தி கிடைப்பதரிது. இது பாரசீகத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்ததால் பாரசீக சாமந்தி என்றும் கூறுவர். இதிலிருந்து எண்ணெய் எடுக்கப்படுகிறது. இதை உள்ளுக்குக் கொடுக்க சுறுசுறுப்பைத் தரும். வலிப்பைப் போக்கும். இதன் பூக்கஷாயம் உடம்பிற்கு பல விருத்தியையும், சீரண சக்தியையும், குமட்டலையும் உண்டாக் கும். மேலும் இது சூதகசன்னி, சூதகத் தடைக்கு குணம் தரும்.எண்ணெய் குன்ம வாயு, வாயுவினால் ஏற்படும் வயிற்றுவலி முதலிய நோய்களுக்கு குணம் தரும்.
