This exhibits similar property as Acalypha fruticosa small variety. The leaves are used as an antidote for insect bites.

சிறு சின்னியின் செய்கையும் குணமும் பெருஞ்சின்னிக்கும் உண்டு. இவை காணாக்கடி நஞ்சும். பிற நஞ்சுக் கடிகளின் நஞ்சையும் நீக்கும்.
