Seeds and bark contain tannic acid.

Action :

Fruit is cooling. Antidysenteric, Astringent and Anthelmintic. Leaves and Seeds are Insecticide and Anthelmintic.

Uses:

This exhibits the same property as Annona squamosa. The unriped fruit checks diarrhoea and dysentery.

சித்தாவின் எல்லா குணங்களும் ராம் சீத்தாவிற்கு உண்டு. பேதி, சீத பேதியை இதன் காய் நிறுத்தும், பழத்தின் ருசியும் நிறமும் வேறுபாடாய் இருக்கும்.
