Similar to Coculus Cordifolius.

Uses:

The tuber of this plant is used in treating veneral diseases, fever, diarrhoea, indigestion and acts as an antidote also. This is also an appetizer. The infusion of the tuber with honey and ghee is used as medicine for the above

said diseases. Severe dysentery and diarrhoea could be also cured with this plant. The tuber and root also exhibits medi-cinal properties.

இதன் கிழங்கு, வேர் முதலியவை பல மருத்துவப்பயன்களை உடையது. சீந்திற்கொடியை போன்றே இதனையும் பயன் படுத்தலாம். பொற்சீத்திற் கிழங்கினால் நீரிழிவு, இளைப்பு நோய், நஞ்சுகள், குருதியழல் நோய், சுரம் ஆகியவைப் போகும்.
