Seeds are Drastic, Purgative, Stimulant and Rubefacient.

Uses:

Seeds are purgative. Seeds externally acts as rubefacient. Seed oil is an antidote for poison. This also used as an analgesic application. Root is purgative and given in the treatments of dropsy and jaundice. Root is also an anti dote for snake bites.

சீனத்தாமணக்கு எனப்படும் சீமை ஆமணக்கின் விதை பேதி யரச்சம்.அதிக அளவில் விஷமாகும். மேலுக்குத்தடங் கறுகறுப்பைத் தரும். தோல் சிவக்கும். இதன் எண்ணெய்க்கு விஷம் நீக்கும் குண முண்டு. இது வாதப்பிடிப்புக்கு மேற்பூச்சு மருந்தாக உபயோகப் படும். வேர் பேதியாகச் செய்யும். வேரைப் பொடித்து பாண்டு. காமாலை முதலிய நோய்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கலாம். வேம்புக் கடி விஷத்தையும் போக்கும்.
