Cut ends of the root contains resinous deposits.

Action:

Cathartic and Expectorant.

Uses:

Root bark exhibit medicinal property. Root bark is light and it is white or yellow in colour. The cut ends exhibit resinous deposition. It is catharatic as such removes phlegms, over burnt tissues, accumulation of bilious deposits. Decoction made out of this and gall nut is a very good remedy for epileptic fits, lunacy nervous pain of the libs etc.

மருத்துவப் பயனுடைய சீமை சிலதையின் வேர் நடுவில் நுலா ரமும் வெட்டுண்ட இருபக்கத்தில் பினுெடனுமிருக்கும். இதனை பேதி மருந்தாகப் பயன்படுத்த கபம், எரிந்த பித்தநீர்க்கட்டு இவை களை வெளிப்படுத்தும். கடுக்காய் சேர்த்து கஷாயமாக சாப்பிட காக்கைவலிப்பு, பைத்தியம், கால் நரம்பு வலி இவைகள் போகும்.
