Root and flowers.

Constituents:

Root is found to contain an aromatic acrid oil, tannin, fatty acids and a white crystalline subs-tance. Flowers contain a colouring and astrin-gent, organic acid, a wax, a yellow colouring matter and ash.

Action:

It is Sedative, Stomachic, Tonic, Intestinal Anti-septic, Cholagogue and a true intestinal Alterative. Externally Astringent, Antiseptic, Appetizer and Emmenagogue.

Uses:

Root is used to treat gonorrhoea, dysentery and menstrual disorders.

வெட்சிமரத்தின் வேர் வெள்ளை நோய், சீதபேதி, மாத விடாயின்போது வெள்ளை விழுதல் போன்றவற்றிற்கு குணம் தரும். பசியைத் தூண்டும்.
