Constituents:
Bark contains tannin.
Action:
Similar to D. embryoteris.
Uses:
Bark of the tree is astringent. This gives relief in dysentery, diarrhees and dyspepsia. Bark, is steeped in water and if it is used to wash the eyes cures eye disorders. Powdered bark, if applied, cures ulcers. Along with black pepper cures dysentery.
தும்பிலி மரத்தின் பட்டை துவர்ப்புச் சுவையுடையது. இது அசார பேதி, குன்மம் இவைகளுக்கு நிவாரணம் தரும். பட்டை ஊறிய தண்ணீர் கண்கழுவ உதவும். இதை சூரணித்து இரணங் களுக்குத் தூவ குணமாகும். மிளகுடன் சேர்த்து சீதபேதிக்குத் தர குணம் தரும்.
