Alterative, Febrifuge. Diuretic and Laxative Tonic, Diaphoretic.

Uses:

The whole plant is medicinally used except the root. A decoction of this plant is used in treating venereal diseases, dysuria, indigestion and loss of appetite. Moreover it is a laxative and diuretic, purifies blood and promotes secretion of breast milk in woman. This cures diseases and disorders due to rheumatism, biliousness, internal piles. fistula and burning sensation during micturition.

Infusion of leaves and flowers cure inflammation of spleen and liver, colic and flatulence and acts as an appetizer.

துராசெடியின் வேர் தவிர மற்ற எல்லா பாகங்களும் மகுத் துவப் பயனுடையது. இது உடலுக்கு பலத்தைக் கொடுக்கும். வியர்வை பிறப்பிக்கச் செய்வ துடன் காய்ச்சலைப் போக்கும். இதன் கஷாயம் மேகநோய், நீர்சுறுக்கு, அஜீரணம், அரோசிகம் முதலிய வைகளைப் போக்கும். இது மலத்தை இளக்கி மூத்திரத்தை வடிக் கக்கூடியது. இரத்தத்தை சுத்த ம் செய்யும். பால் சுரக்கச் செய்யும். வாத பித்தக் கோளாறுகளை நீக்கும். முளை மூலம் நீரெரிச்சல் இவைகளைப் போக்கும்.

மேலும் இது கல்லீரல் மண்ணீரல் வீக்கங்களையும், வயிற்று வலி, வயிற்றுப் பொரு மலையும் நீக்கி உணவில் ருசியைத் தரும்.
