Bark is Antibilious, Febrifuge and Vermifuge.
Uses:
Caesalpinia bonducella along with the bark of this plant is a good medicine to treat chronic fever,dysentery, diarrhoes etc. Bilious diseases also could be cured with this. Bark powder is used as an external application for skin ulcers and wounds. The oil extracted from the bark is an ideal medicine for ringworm, and other skin diseases.
தூணுமரப் பட்டையுடன் கழற்சிக் காயைச் சேர்த்து சுரம் முறை சுரம், சீதபேதி, கழிச்சல் இவைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்க குணம் தரும். மேலும் பித்த சுரம், கிராணி அல்லது தீராக்கழிச்சல் இவைகளைக் கண்டிக்கும். பட்டைத்தூளைப் புண் புரைகளுக்குத் தடவ குணம் தரும்.தூணுமரப் புகையின்று எடுக்கப்படும் எண்ணெய் சிலந்திப்புண், சரும நோய் இவைகளைக் குணப்படுத்தும்.
