Leaves contain senegin and polygallic acid.

Action:

Alterative, Anti-bilious, Bitter, Laxative and Tonic.

Uses:

This gives strength and beauty to body. A smalt quantity of the paste of its leaves along with milk, if consumed every day morning it gives strength and vitality. This leaves are also used as

 an antidote to poisons. Melted zinc if added with this juice the pores of the zinc will be filled.

இது உடலுக்கு வலிமை தரும். உடலுக்கு அழகைத்தகும். இதன் இலையை அரைத்து கொட்டைப் பாக்களவு எடுத்துப் பாலுடன் கலந்து காலையில் உட்கொள்ள உடல் வலுக்கும், இதன் இலையை கைப்புச்சுவை தோன்றுமட்டும் தின்னும்படி கொடுத்துவர கடிநஞ்சு நீங்கும். இதன் சாற்றில் சிறுகண் நாகத்தை உருக்கி சாய்த்து வர அதன் சீறல் அடங்கி கண் ணடைந்து கட்டும்.
