Parts used:

Nas, Kernel and oil of Seeds.

Constituent:

Kernel contains cellulose, fat, organic matter Inorganic matter and ash containing lime,magnesium phosphoric unhydride etc. seeds yield fixed oil.

Action:

The oil contains an acridresin in which reside the purgative principle. The kernl is an astringent alternative cholagogue and laxative, pungent. cathartic, cooling and ansibllions.

Uses:

This has got a similar properties of “Seemai Acrot” (Jugulans regia). But this is mainly used to regain the vitality by consuming it along with Karuvelam gum mixed with milk at night.

சீமை அக்ரோட்டின் குணங்களே இதற்கும் பொருந்தும் என்றாலும் தாது பலம் குறைந்தவர்கள் இத்துடன் கருவேலம்பிசின் சிறிது சேர்த்தரைத்து பாலில் கலந்து இரவில் பருகிவர தாது வலிமை அடைத்து குழந்தைப் பெற வாய்ப்பு ஏற்படும்.
