Uses:

This is a common drug. It is used in treating fever. Mixed with oil it is used in treating skin ailments. The decoction of the tender leaves and flower induces sweating and brings down the body temperature. Root exhibits tonic property. Root is also used externally to treat rheumatism.

பற்பாடகம், இது ஒரு கடைச்சரக்கு. பச்சைப் பூண்டாகவும் கிடைக்கும். இதில் அதேக விதைகளிருப்பதால் இப்பெயர் வந்தது.

இது சுரத் கிற்கு விசேஷமாகப் பயன்படும். இதை எண்ணெய் யோடு குழப்பி சிரங்கு போன்ற தோலைப் பற்றிய நோய்களுக்குப் பூசுமருந்தாக உபயோகப்படுத்துவதுண்டு.

இலைக் கொழுந்துகளையும், பூக்களையும் கஷாயமிட்டுக் கொடுக்க வியர்வையுண்டாகி சுரம் குறையும்.

இப்பூண்டின் காய்ந்த வேர் உடலுக்கு பலத்தைக் கொடுக்கும்.
