Uses:

This gum is imported from Pakistan. This is white or yellowish colour. It is very tasty and aromatic. This is used in the medicine which do not dissolve in water. This is mainly used in treating dysentery in children. This, if chewed slowly reduces irritating cough. makes semen viscous, and acts as an antidote. This is mainly used in health tonics,

பாரசீகத்திலிருந்து கிடைக்கும் ஒருவகை மரத்தின் பிசின். இதை பாதம் பிரின் என்று அழைப்பர். வெண்மை அல்லது மஞ்சள் நிறமாய் இருக்கும். அகலமாயும், தகடுகளாகவும், மணமும். சுவையு மாய் இருக்கும். பாதம் பிரின் எளிதில் கொடியாகாது இதனை நீரில் கரையாத மருந்துகளுடன் சேர்த்து குழந்தைகளுக்குச் கொடுக்கலாம். இதன் விளைவாக இருமலும், கழிச்சலும் நிற்கும். இப்பிசினை கொஞ்சம் வாயில் போட்டு அடக்கி, ரசத்தை விழுங்கிக் கொண்டு இருக்க இருமல்தணியும், சுக்கிலம் கெட்டிப்படும். விஷத்தை முறிக்கும். பெரும்பாலும் இது தாதுவிருத்தி லேகியங்களில் சேர்க்கப் படுகிறது.
