Action:

Depurative, Antiseptic, Galactagogue, Tonic and Cooling.

Uses:

Fruits are yellow in colour and sweet in taste The leaves are used as green vegetable. Infusion of the leaves give relief in gonorrhoea and burning sensation during parturition. This acts as refrigerant and tonic. This cures eczema, gonorrhoea and diabetes. The root is used in treating jaundice. Infusion of the root reduces the irritation in the testicles and reduce the intestinal heat.

ஊசிப்பாலை உவரமாக வளரும் ஒரு கொடியினம். இதன் பழம், சித்திச்சன் பழத்தைப் போல மஞ்சள் திறத்துடன் மிக்க இனிப்பாகவும் பால் நிறைந்தும் இருக்கும். சாப்பிட்டால் உதட்டில் ஒட்டிக் கொள்ளும். இதன் திரையை சமைத்துண்டாலும், குடிநீர் செய்து உட்கொண்டாலும், வெள்ளை, நீர் எரிச்சல் நீங்கும். கண் குளிர்ச்சியும், தேக புஷ்டியும் உண்டாகும். மேலும் கரப்பான், பிரமேகம், நீரிழிவு நோய்கள் குணமாகும். இதன் வேரானது காமாலை நீக்கும். ஆண்குறியில் உண்டான எரிச்சலும், வெப்பமும் திரும். தேகமும் வலிமை பெறும்.
