This is rich in iron. This is used in treatment of theumatism, paralysis and body pain. Seeds are used as an anthelmintic and gives relief from stomach ache.

வெள்ளை புரசு, இதில் அயச்சத்துள்ளது. வாதம் வாதவலி. தேகக் குடைச்சல் முதலானவற்றிற்கு மருந்தாகப் பயன்படுகிறது. விதை வயிற்றுப் பூச்சி, வயிற்றுவலி முதலானவற்றை நீக்கும்.
