Uses:

This is a creeper. The fruit is big in size and the outer skin is green in colour with ash coloured hairs, Inner pulp is white in colour and fleshy. This is used commonly as vegetable. If this is consumed regularly it cures nervous debility, intestinal ulcers etc. Epilepsy, giddiness, bilious

disorders and urinary disorders are also could be treated with this. A type of lehyam is prepared from this.

கல்யாணப் பூசணி தரையில் படரும் ஒரு கொடி வகை. காயின் மேல்தோல் பச்சையாயும், சாம்பல் பூத்தும் இருக்கும். இதன் உட்பாகம் வெள்ளை நிறமான சதைப் பற்றுள்ளதா யிருக்கும். இது காய்கறி பயிராகப் பயிரிடப்படுகிறது. இதனால் நரம்புத் தளர்ச்சி, நரம்பு பற்றிய நோய்கள், வயிற்றுப்புண், வயிற்று ரணம் குணப்படும். மயக்க நோய், காக்கைவலிப்பு, பித்தநோய் சிறுநீர் கோளாறு நீங்கும். இதனைக் கொண்டு சித்தவைத்தியர்கள் வெள்ளை பூசணி லேகியம் செய்வார்கள்.
