Gum is obtained from the bark. It contains pure resin of balsamic odour

Action:

Bark is Tonic, Carminative and Febrifuge. Gum is Stimulant.

Uses:

Gum, bark and fruit of this tree exhibit medicinal property. Bark is bitter in taste and gives relief in dyspepsia. Juice of the bark alone with curd if given twice daily cures dysentery and bronchitis. The gum is aromatic and used in the preparation of incense sticks.

இம்மரத்தின் பால் (மட்டிப்பால்), பட்டை, காய் இவை மருத்துவப் பயனுடையது. பெருமருந்தின் குணங்களும், இதன் குணங்களும் ஒன்றானாலும், இது சீதபேதியைக் குணப்படுத்தும். மேலும் இதனால் ஆஸ்துமா குணமாகும். இது ஒரு வாசனை திரவியம். இது ஊதுவத்தி தயாரிக்கப் பயன்படுகிறது.
