Woody climber

Parts used:

Root, root-bark and leaves

Constituents:

Root contains crystalline fatty acids and a glucosidal acid resin

Action:

Root bark is cholagogue and flowers are edible..

Uses:

Leaves made into a paste are used as an external application to cure ulcerous sores. Root-bark relieves dyspepsia due to torbidity of the liver.
