Leaves are Stomachic and Cooling.

Uses:

Leaves are consumed during times of scarcity. It is used in the treatment of urinary discharges and enlarge-ment of spleen. Bark is ground in water is applied to cure boils and burns. Roots are used in treating leprosy. The smashed root is applied for killing of the worms. Fruits are used to treat hydrocele.

மகாலிங்கம் மரத்தின் இலையை உண்ண தாகம் தணியும். இது நீர்த் தாரை சம்பந்தமான நோய்களையும் மண்ணீரல் வீக்கத்தையும் குணப்படுத்தும். பட்டையை அரைத்து தடவ கொப்புளங்களும் தீப்புண்களும் ஆறும். வேரை பெருநோய்க்கு மகுத்தாகப் பயன் படுத்துவர். வேரை சிதைத்து புணகளின் மீது வைத்துக் கட்ட புழுக்களை கொன்று புண்ணை ஆற்றும். பழம் விரை வீக்கத்திற்குதவும்,
