Bark, flowers, seeds, arillus and fruits

Constituents:

Bark contains tannin, saccharine matter and salts. The ground bark yields ‘Muricetin’

Action:

Bark is Aromatic, Astringent, Stimulant, Resolvent, Carminative and Tonic.

Uses:

This is used in treating asthma, phlegm, cough and diarrhoea. This gives strength to lungs and liver. Juice of the bark is used in the calcination processes in siddha system.
