Qulaqualiria duralin, colte acid and palmitie, acid.
Action:
Stimulant, Carminative, Diaphoretic, Purgative and Anti-rheumatic.
Uses:
Seeds of this creeper is used as an anthelmintic in cases of round worm infection. Seeds are crushed and mixed. with honey if given to children expels the round worms. Roasted ripe seeds checks diarrhoea and fever. Leaves are used as an ingredient in decoctions prepared to treat flatulent abdominal distension.
ரங்கூன் மல்லிகை ஒரு படர்செடியாகும். இதன் விதை சிறந்த புழுக்கொல்லியாகும். நான்கு அல்லது ஐந்து விதையை பொடித்து தேனில் குழைத்து சிறிதளவு குழந்தைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்க வயிற்றி லுள்ள உருண்டைப் புழுக்களை வெளிப்படுத்தும். முற்றிய விதை களை வறுத்துக் கொடுக்க பேதி, சுரம் குணமாகும். இலையை பிற கடைச் சரக்குகளுடன் சேர்த்து கஷாயமிட்டுக் கொடுக்க வயிற்றும் பிசம் குணப்படும்.
