Action :
Astringent, Stimulant, Tonic, Demulcent, Anti-scorbutic, Styptic and Antidysenteric.
Uses:
Ash of this plant and gum is commonly used in many medicinal preparations. Fistula, diarrhoea accompanied by stomach ache and bloody stool could be cured with this. Gum of this plant if consumed (2 gm-4 gm) twice daily it cures gonorrhoca, gleet and eczema. Tender leaf juice is used as eye drops to cure eye diseases. Bark powder if consumed it cures piles and bloody stools.
விடதாரிச் செடியின் சமூலம், பிசின் பல மருந்துகளில் பயன் படுகிறது. இதனால் முளைமூலம், வயிற்று வளியுடன் கூடிய பெருங் கழிச்சல், குருதிக்கழிச்சல் தீரும். இதன் பிசினை 2முதல் 4கிராம் வரை தினம் இருவேளை உட்கொள்ள வெள்ளை, வெட்டை, கரப்பான் போகும். இலைக் கொழுந்து சாற்றை கண்களில் பிழிய கண்நோய் தணியும். பட்டைத் தூளை உள்ளுக்குக் கொடுக்க மூலமும், குருதிக்கழிச்சலும் தீரும். பட்டை காயச்சித்தி மருந்துகளில் சேரும்.
