Bark is Demulcent, Alterative, Antipyretic Haemostatic, Styptic and Deobstruent and Gum is Tonic.

Uses:

This is an aromatic tree with yellow flower. Leaves, bark, gum and flowers are of medicinal use. This is used to treat gonorrhoea, gleet, gingivitis etc. Tender leaves

with water cures gonorrhoea. An aromatic oil is extracted from the flower, this reduces febrile temperature. Infusion of the bark is used to gargle the mouth to cure stomatitis. The gum is used in many electuaries. The oil gives strength and vitality. It used in electuaries prescribed for spermetorrhoea.

பீக்கருவேல் மரம் நறுமணமுள்ள மஞ்சள் நிறப் பூக்களை யுடையது. இம்மரத்தின் இலை, பூ, பட்டை, பிசின் ஆகியவை மருத்துவப் பயனுடையன. இவற்றால் வெள்ளை, வெட்டை, ஈற்றுப் புண் முதலியன தீரும் இலைக் கொழுந்தையரைத்து நீரில் கரைத்து உட்கொள்ள வெள்ளை நோய் குணமாகும்.

பூவிலிருந்து நறுமணமுள்ள எண்ணெய் எடுக்கப்படுகிறது.

இது உடல் வெப்பத்தை ஆற்றும். பட்டை குடிநீரினால் வாய் கொப்பளிக்க வாய்ப்புண் ஆறும். பிசின் பல லேகியங்களில் பயன் படுத்தப்படுகின்றது. இதன் எண்ணெய் ஆண்மை தரும் லேகியங்களில் விந்து நட்டத்தை நிறுத்தும் மருந்தாக சேர்க்கப்படுகின்றது.
