Mucilaginous, Cardiac tonic Astringent, Alterantive Febrifuge, Anti-pyretic, and antibiotic.
Uses:
Decoction of the root and leaves with cumin and buttermilk is given in dysuria and other urethral discharges or complaints; also in diarrhoea and dysentery. The drug is used in snake-bite also.
பூச்சிக்கடி, பாம்புக்கடிக்கு மேற்பூச்சாக இதை நாட்டு மருத்துவர் பயன்படுத்துவர். சீதபேதி -பேதி இவைகளுக்கு உள்ளுக்குக் கொடுக்க குணம் கிடைக்கும். இதனை பல மருந்துகளில் துணை மூலிகையாகச் சேர்த்துக் கொள்வர்.
