Constituents:

Leaves contain an essential oil and alkaloid substance. Bark yields alkaloids, crystalline alkaloids, muricine and muricinine isolated. The fibrous fruit contains proteins and sugars.

Action :

Root is Antiscorbutic, Bark is Astringent. Root-bark is an Anti-dote. Leaves are Anthelmintic and externally Suppurant.

Uses:

The seeds heals the uicers of the skin. This is Yound commonly in thick forests. Dried tender fruits are very effective in skin disorders.

முள்ளு சீத்தாவின் விதை புண்களை ஆற்றும், பெரும்பாலும் அடர்ந்த காடுகளில் விளையும். காட்டுப் பன்றிகள் இதனை விரும்பி உண்ணும். புண், புரை முதலியவற்றை காய்ந்த பிஞ்சுகள் ஆற்றும்.
