An essential oil which is rich in cineole.

Action:

Similar to E. repens and E. cardamomum.

Uses:

Kattelam (wild variety) is found abundantly in non-cultivating areas. The paste of this is hot, so this secrets saliva. This is used as one of the ingredient in the medicines used for appetite, hysterria, phlegm and dysentery.

பயன்படுத்தாத நிலங்களில் காட்டு ஏலம் சுயேச்சையாக வளகும். இது கார்ப்பு, துவர்ப்புச் சுவையுடையது. இதுபசியைத் தூண்டும் மருந்துகளிலும், மனமயக்கம், கபம்,பேதி போன்ற மருந்துகளிலும் துணை மருந்தென சொல்லப்படுகிறது.
