Flowering tops, flowers, nuts and leaves

Constituents:

The oil in which the shoots or flowering tops have been steeped in sold and oleum hyperial. Flowers contain a red resin (hypericum red) volatile essential oil and a red colouring matter.

Action:

Leaves are used as a Vermifuge. The herb is Astringent, Aromatic, Anthelmintic, Diuretic. Emmenagogue, Purgative.

Uses:

The leaves are astringent. It exhibits the proper-ties of anthelmintic. Red colour gum called oleum hyberial is obtained from the powder. The leaves checks diarrhoea. It cure piles and uteru disorders.

வெட்டைப்பாக்கின் இலை அதிக துவர்ப்புடையது. வயிற்றுப் பூச்சிகளை ஒழிக்கும் இப்பூவிலிருந்து சிகப்பு பிசினை வடித்தெடுப் பார்கள்.இதற்கு ”ஓலியம் ஹைபீரியல்*” என்று பெயர். இதன் தழை பேதியை நிறுத்துவதற்கும், மூலத்திற்கும்,சூதகக் கோளாறு சுளுக்கும் சிறந்தது.
