Action :

Alterative Tonic, Aperient, Fehrifuge, Refrigerant, Demulcent, Diuretic, Depurative and Hydrocyphallus.

Uses:

This is a herb. This is very fiberous and the surface of the fruit is feathery. The leaves are yellowish on the upperside and blackish at the bottom. The roots are used in treating eye disorders. Infusion made out of its root is used in periodic fever and indigestion. If this is applied with honey it cures vitilago and boils. If used as snuff it cures sinusitis. The infusion and decoction cures, jaundice. If eyes are washed with this water in which the root is soaked it cures eye disorders, Powdered root if consumed thrice daily with water, It sures periodic fever. If it is roasted with oil and used on the bead, it cures eye disorders. If this powder is taken direct Internally it cures dysuria.

பீதரோகினி, இது ஒரு வகைப் பூண்டு. இது காகத்தின் இறகு போன்று கனமாயும், நாறுள்ளதாயுமிருக்கும். இதற்கு வெளிப் புறத்தில் மஞ்சள் நிறமும், உட்புறத்தில் கருநீல நிறமும் உண்டு.

இதன் இலையின் வெளிப்புறம் மஞ்சள் நிறமாக இருப்பதால் இது பீதரோடுவி எனப் பெயர் பெற்றது.

இதன் வேரினால் சுருவிழி நீலகாசம், இமையைப் பற்றிய நீர்ப்பில்லம், கண்ணருகல் நோய். அச்சி நோய் இவை தீரும். அன்றியும் இதை முறைக் காய்ச்சலுக்கும், செரியாமைக்கும் கொடுக்கலாம்.இதை தேனில் உரைத்துப் பூச. தேமல் முதலிய படைகள் போகும். கட்டிகள் கரையும், தோல் மென்மையுற்று ஒளி பெறும். இதை மூக்கிலிட, நீரேற்றம் முதலிய தலையைப் பற்றிய நோய்கள் விலகும். கண்ணிலிட கண் புகைச்சல் மாறும், குடி நீரிட்டுக் கொடுக்க வயிற்றுநோய், சாமாலை நீங்கும். ஊரல் நீரைக் கொண்டு கண்ணைக் கழுவ, கண் நோய்கள் நீங்கும்.

கொடுக்க பொடி செய்த வேரை நாளுக்கு மூன்று வேளை நீரில் கலந்துக் முறைசுரம் நீங்கும். எண்ணெயிலிட்டுக் காய்ச்சித் தலைக்கிட்டு,மூழ்கிவர, கண்நோய் அணுகாது. கண் துலங்கும். மூத்திர கிரிச்சரம் குணப்படுத்தும். கடால ரோகங்களையும் குணப்படுத்தும்
