Action:

 Plant is Bitter, Tonic and Diuretic. Fruit is violently Cathartic, Emetic, Expectorant and Purgative.

Uses:

This cures asthma and skin diseases. The dried fruit is used to treat jaundice and arthritis. The powdered seed if consumed, it cures ulcers. Seed oil is aphrodisiac.

பேய்ப்பீர்க்கு ஆஸ்துமா, சரும நோய்கள் முதலியவற்றை குணமாக்க பயன்படுகிறது.

இதன் காய்ந்த காய், காமாலை, வாதம் நீக்கும். பேய்ப் பீர்க்கின் விதையைச் சூரணஞ் செய்துச் சாப்பிட துஷ்ட இரணம் ஆறும். பேய்ப்பீர்க்குத் தைலம் தாதுவைக் கட்டும் ஓர்வகைத்தைலம். இதன் எண்ணெயினால் இலிங்கம் மெழுகாகும்.
