Antirheumatic, Refrigerant, Diuretic, Demulcent, Stimulant and Tonic.

Uses:

Infusion made out of this plant cures rheuma-tism, phlegmatic diseases indigestion, boils, dyspepsia and leucorrhoea. The drug is used in calculation processes.

Juice of the leaves along with juices of neem bark, leaves of Alteranthera sessilis and honey is an effective remedy for whooping cough.

To treat anaemia, leaves along with Acalypha indica and Eclipta alba are dried and powdered. This powder if taken with sogar daily, it cures annemia. This also strengthens liver and spleen.

Dried powdered leaves are prescribed for gonorrhoea gout and dyspepsia. Decoction of the leaves reduces the rheu-matic inflammations, loss of appetite, numbness in rheumatic complaints etc. The dried plant mixed with fenugreek seeds and made into a paste. This is used as an external application to boils and absesses.

சிறு செருப்படையின் குடிநீர் வாதம், கபரோகங்கள், மந்தம், சூலை,குன்மம், வெள்ளைவீழல், நீக்கும். இது உலோகங்களை செந்தூரமாக்க உதவும்.

வேம்பின் பட்டையை பொன்னாங்கண்ணியுடன் இதன் இலை சேர்த்து நசுக்கி சாறு எடுத்து தேன் கூட்டிக் கொடுக்க குற்றிருமல், மேகநோய்கள் போகும்.

சோகை நோய்தீர இவ்விலையுடன் குப்பைமேனி, கரிசலாங் கண்ணி இலை சேர்த்து உலர்த்தி பொடித்து தினமும் ஒரு ஸ்பூன் அளவு சர்க்கரையுடன் சாப்பிட சோகை நோய் தீரும். மேலும் இதனால் கல்லீரல், மண்ணீரல் போன்ற வயிற்று உறுப்புகள் வலிமை பெறும்.
