Constituents:

Inosetol, Amorphous acid, ketonic sterol and an aldehyde.

Action:

Refrigerant, Stomachic, Diuretic. Diaphoretic, Appetizer, Antipyretic and Restorative.

Uses:

The tuber of this exhibits medicinal properties. The medicinal property of this is equal to the sarasaparilla. This purifies the blood and acts as an appetizer. It also acts as febrifuge. Gonorrhoes could be cured with this.

மாவலிக்கிழங்கு, நன்னாரி வகுப்பைச் சேர்ந்த காட்டினம். இதன் கிழங்கு மருத்துவத் தன்மையுடையது.

பொதுவாக நன்னாரியின் குணமே இதற்கும் பொருந்தும் என்றாலும் இது இரத்தத்தைச் சுத்தியாக்கும். பசியைத் தூண்டும், திரேகச் சூட்டைத் தணித்து, வாததோஷத்தை நீக்கும். திரேக வனப்புத் தரும். வெள்ளை நோயை குணப்படுத்தும்.
