Resin, a bitter alkaloid and tannin.

Action:

It is Cordial, Stomachic, Carminative, Alterative and Tonic. Roots and leaves are therapeutically active.

Uses:

This is a small tree. This cures chronic fever and body pain, Leaves are used in treating tastlessness. inflammation, phlegm and eczema.This also cures rheumatism. giddiness, stomach ache. gastric disorders and spleen dis-orders. This regulates the heart beat. Infusion of the leaves is used to cure the above said diseases. Infusion of the root cures belching and gonorrhoea.

முன்னை சிறு மர வகுப்பைச் சேர்ந்தது. இதில் எருமை முன்னை, காட்டு முன்னை, பேய் முன்னை. பசு முன்னை என பல வகைகள் உண்டு. பசு முன்னையே பெரும்பாலும் மருந்தாகக் கொள்ளப்படினும் இதற்கும் மற்ற வகைகளுக்கும் செய்கையும்

குணமும் ஏறக்குறைய ஒன்று பட்டேயிருக்கும். இது தசமூலங்களில் ஒன்றாகும்.

இது விடா சுரம்.தேகவலி,நீக்கும் மேலும் இதனால் சகலவித வாதநோய்களும் குணப்படும்.

இலையினால் சுவையின்மை, வீக்கம்,கபம், கரப்பான் இவை உண்டாகும். வலிக் குற்றமும், அழல் மந்தமும், மயக்கமும் போகும். வயிற்று வலி, வாய்வு உபத்திரவம் தணியும். மண்ணீரல் நோய்களை ஒழிக்கும். இருதய துடிப்பை சமனப் படுத்தும். இலையைக் குடி நீரிட்டுக் குடிக்க மேற்கண்ட நோய்கள் குணமாகும்.

வேரையும் குடிநீரிட்டுக் கொடுக்கலாம். இதனால் வளி ஏப்பம் வெள்ளை நீங்கும்.
