Action:

Anthelmintic, Emmenagogue, Antiphilogistic, Deobstruent, Purgative, Vermifuge, Anti-rheumatic and Antiscorbutic.

Uses:

Leaves of this plant is edible. This if taken regularly along with food cures eczema, gonorrhoea, abscesses, anorexia and constipation. This also acts as an anthelmintic.

Infusion of the leaves mixed with castor oil and ghee expels the intestinal worms. Leaf juice if consumed expels worms of the rectium.

Leaves are used as an ingredient in oils which are used externally to treat rigidity of joints, inflammation of the joints, arthritis and herpes.

Infusion of the root gives strength to uterus.

விழுதிச் செடியின் இலையும் காயும் மருந்தாகப் பயன் படுகிறறு. இதன் இலையை சமைத்து உணவுடன் உண்ண கரப்பான், வெள்ளைநோய், கட்டிகள், பசியின்மை, வயிற்றுப்புழு, மலக்கட்டு இவை தீரும்.

இலைக் குடிநீருடன் ஆமணக்கு நெய் சேர்த்து அருந்த கழிச்சலுடன், வயிற்றுப்புழுக்கள் வெளியேறும்.இலைச்சாற்றை அருந்த வாதநீர், பித்தநீர் வெளியாகும். மலக்கிருமிகளையும் வெளியாக்கும்.

கீல் பிடிப்பு, கீல்வீக்கம், வாதம், படர்தாமரை,கரப்பான் இவைகளுக்கான வெளிப்பூச்சுத் தைலங்களில் இதன் இலை பயன்படுத்தப்படுகிறது. காயை வற்றல் செய்து உண்பர்.

வேர்க்குடிநீர் பெண்களின் கருப்பைக்கு பலத்தை அளிக்கும்.
