It is Alterative, Diuretic and Demulcent.

Uses;

The root is bitter in taste. Leaves are used as an external application to cure herpes and ulcers. The juice

of the flower is used to expectorate phlegm, more over it cures eye diseases etc.

இதன் வேர் சுசப்புச் சுவையுடையது. படர் வெள்ளி இலையை தாமரை, புண், ஆறாத ரணம் ஆகியவற்றிற்கு வெளி பூச்சு மருந்தாகப் பயன்படுத்துவர்.

இதன் பூவின் சாறு கபம், இருமல் நீக்குவதுடன் கண் நோய்களை குணப்படுத்தும்.
