Plant is Aperient, Diaphoretic and Diuretic.
Uses:
This is a creeper. It increases the sweating and saliva secretion. This is bactericide. This corrects the menstrual cycle, eye diseases and abscess.
This acts as galactagogue. The leaves cures fistula, tastelessness and induces appitite. The dried and powdered leaves with pepper is an ideal, medicine for jaundice. The decoction of the leaves cures tuberculosis, and acts as laxative-The leaves along with turmeric is made into a paste, and this paste is used as an external application for carbuncles. The decoction of this leaves with lavendar flower cures leucoderma.
தரா கொடி வியர்வையையும் சிறுநீரையும் பெருக்கும். தரா கிருமி நாசினியாகும். தரா மாத விடாய், சிக்கல். கண்காசம். கண் புகைச்சல்,சந்திபாத தோஷம், வித்திரதிக்கட்டி இவைகளைப் குணப்படுத்தும். பெண்களுக்கு முலைப்பால் சுரக்கச் செய்யும். தரா இலையால், முளைமூலம், சுவையின்மை, நீர்த்தாரையிற் சூடு, இளைப்பு ஆகிய நோய்கள் நீங்குவதுடன் பசியுண்டாகும். தரா இலையைப் பொடித்துச் சிறிது மிளகுத்தூள் சேர்த்து காமாலை சுரத்திற்குக் கொடுக்க குணமாகும். மேலும் இலைக்கஷாயம் க்ஷய நோய்களைக் குணப்படுத்துவதுடன் மலபந்தம் நீக்கும். தரா இலை யுடன் மஞ்சள் சேர்த்து அரைத்து பிளவைகளுக்குக் கட்ட பழுத்து உடையும், இலையுடன் பன்னீர் பூசேர்த்து கஷாயமிட்டுக் குடிக்க வெண்குஷ்டம் மாறும்.
