Expectorant, Carminative, Emetic, Diuretic, Diaphoretle, Antidote and Alexipharmic.

Uses:

This is an ideal medicine for treating all toxicity-This is also used as an antidote for snake poisons. This gives immediate relief in asthma, bronchitis and dysentery. For blood cancer and other types of cancers this is an ideal medicine. Tender roots given along with water, it loosens the stool. Leaves are emetic if taken in the powdered form. If given along with opium as gruel it checks dysentery, in-digestion and respiratve disorders. If taken along with cin-chona bark it cures chronic fever, poisonous fever and malaria. If poison is consumed it could be brought out and given rellef by giving the powder of its leaves and root along with peper and honey. It should be consumed twice a day.

நஞ்சுறுப்பான் எல்லா நஞ்சு வகைகளையும் போக்கும். பாம்பு விஷம் முறிக்கும். ஆஸ்துமா,சீதபேதிக்குஉடனடி நிவாரணம் தரும். பச்சை வேரைத் தண்ணீரில் இழைத்து அடிக்கடி கொடுக்க பேதி யாகும்.

-இலையை உலர்த்திச் சூரணித்துக் கொடுக்க வாந்தியுண்

டாகும். கஞ்சியாக வைத்து அபினியுடன் கொடுக்க சீதபேதி, அசீரண பேதி, சுவாசகாசம் போகும். கொய்னாவுடன் கொடுக்க முறைசுரம் விஷசுரம், மலைசுரம் போகும். இது சீதபேதியை நிறுத்தும். பாஷாண மருந்துகள் சாப்பிட்டு உடலில் விஷக்குறி தோன்றினால் இதன் இலை,வேர் இவற்றை உலர்த்தி தூள் செய்து அதனுடன் சிறிதளவு மிளகுத் தூள் சேர்த்து அதனுடன் தேன் சேர்த்து ஒரு நாளைக்கு இரண்டு வேளை சாப்பிட குணமாகும்.
